Receive Spiritual Direction

What is God doing in your life? This is the central question the Spiritual Director wants to help you explore. The job of the Spiritual Director is to walk with you, slow things down, listen deeply, and ask thoughtful questions so that, together, we can pay attention to God's presence and the Spirit's leading.

Options for Receiving Spiritual Direction

Every person is unique and experiences God through different settings. I am pleased to offer a variety of settings for our Spiritual Direction sessions. You are encouraged to book whatever experience suits you best and weather permits.

  • Online

Regardless of where you are, you can receive Spiritual Direction by scheduling an online session.

  • In-person (Indoor)

If you are in the Winston-Salem area of North Carolina, we can meet in person.

  • Walking or Hiking

For some, nature and the rhythm of walking or hiking helps quiet the mind to better hear God.

  • On the Water

Throughout the Bible, rivers have played a major role in our faith story--from the rivers that watered Eden, to the baptism of Jesus, to the River of Life in the New Jerusalem, to all the ways rivers have been used poetically to communicate truths of God. What better setting for Spiritual Direction than floating placidly down one of North Carolina's scenic rivers in a kayak or canoe.

  • Retreats or Camping

Spiritual Direction retreats are a true blessing. If you would like to inquire about having me facilitate your retreat or camping trip, please email me at drew@commongroundsunity.org to discuss availability and cost.
